Grow, Push, Liberate

Great morning world!

I’ve been away on vacay cruising across the Gulf of Mexico with my girls but I’m back and feeling a few pounds heavier but perfectly re-charged! In between dancing in Honduras, cave tubing in Belize and roaming the streets of Mexico, I took time to reflect on my life so far and think about where I want to go. I had to change my outlook on life, set myself free and choose peace over dismay; it feels so good!IMG_4542

Hippie Halloween

Halloween is right around the corner and one of my lovely co-hosts, Lady Red Nails, suggested that we dress up as hippies for Tuesday night’s show. It just so happened that I shot this look a month ago and it fits perfectly with our theme. I had fun with this project and was once again drawn to the beautiful detail by Bebe. Whoever took over as creative director seriously needs to be applauded! They’ve managed to keep the sexiness of the brand all while elevating its character from slutsville to swanksville. They still have a few risque items that linger but overall, bravo Bebe 🙂

In science, the notion of whether Black or White are colors has been one of the most debated topics for years. Some argue that black is a color and white is not because if you combine all hues, they will create black while the absence of color creates white. Others will argue that the absence of color is actually black because if you shut off all of the lights, everything turns to what? Black. Well, in fashion, black and white are both colors. And whether they’re paired separately or together, they are bound to make a bold yet effortless statement just about each and every time. Add in sultry/sophisticated draping, distinctive detail, with a pop of red and you’ve got a titillating black and white look that’s the ultimate head turner!

Color is a form of non-verbal communication. A person’s mood can change by wearing or simply looking at a certain color. There are endless hues and each of them mean something different and significant to different cultures. For individuals, the meaning of a color can change on a day-to-day basis. One day red can signify anger, the next day it can represent love, and the next it can mean hunger. It all depends on one’s energy.

Blooming Under Leather

There’s so many festivals going on this summer and I, myself am attending two so I had to get another look together but this time I wanted something with a different vibe. This style is a bit edgier than my lace look but still feminine. I fancied creating a contrast between hard and soft and the first piece that inspired me was this leather jacket from Blank NYC.

All About that Lace

Reunited and it feels so good!

It been a few months and it feels great to finally be back! I needed time to focus on finishing up my last year at FIDM and now that I’m down to only two more classes, I can connect with you once again. I’ve added two new categories: Everywhere but L.A and Tongue Tied so I can share my experiences traveling as well as my new food discoveries with my fellow adventure seekers. I’ve also partnered with the Bellwether Project to give my male audience their very own styles tips and secrets! I’m really excited about collaborating with BP because they truly have impeccable style, they’re self-made entrepreneurs and they’re humble so check them out on my new page Dapper Advisement. Fashion contributor Dilly Moon’s page has had a face lift and name change to Fashion Fix. Her previous posts are still there but her new ones are going to be bigger and better so make sure you check back every week for your fashion fix!

I have more in store for you including a line of tees that aim to educate and stimulate society. On top of that, they’re really cute; I can’t wait to debut them. I’ll let you know about all of my other endeavors when the time is right so in the mean time, I’ll jump right in to my new post that is looooooong overdue “All About that Lace”!

My Good Side

Good morning loves! I hope your New Year is off to an amazing start! December was such a crazy month for me. From finals, to photo shoots, to my birthday vacation, to my birthday party, to Holiday festivities, I was all over the place. It was so nice to have these past few days to just breathe and get organized. Now I’m ready to finally get back into the swing of things with my first post of 2015 being my collaboration with The Mint Julep Boutique! This brand is all about comfort, style, class, and did I say comfort? They make the perfect on-the-go pieces that you can easily dress up or down to go from day to night with ease. On top of that, the best parts about Mint Julep are the cute and cheeky names they give to most of their styles! With titles like All About That Lace, Oh So Right, and Welcome to My Hoodie, you’re bound to have fun scrolling through their line. Out of all the cute pieces, this top is my fave! Take a look at My Good Side. 🙂
