Tara and I got back on the field last week and made more magic! It’s always fun when we get together and I feel the outcome just keeps getting better and better. It’s like riding a bike, or flying a kite or learning how to cook, sometimes the process is challenging but the results get better each time. 🙂 This shoot was a little different, and in a good way because I got to shoot in one of my own pieces from my new line F.L.O.S.S. Daily.

F.L.O.S.S. represents Flaunting a Lifestyle of Observing and Stimulating Society. I started this brand because I’m on my own journey of learning more about my culture as well as staying up to date with what’s going on in the world and specifically, my society. I know there are others who are on their own journey for knowledge of self so I wanted to share this experience with like-minded individuals by bringing us together with substance and style.
This was the last tee and the only bodysuit I made in my first collection and it’s my favorite. It has a graphic of an Ethiopian Queen’s crown with the word “Nigist” (pr. nï-gest) underneath which means “Queen” in the Ethiopian Amharic language. It’s the feminine rendition of the term Negus (pr. nee-guh-s) meaning “King/Emperor” which is a derivative of the Egyptian word N-G-R (pr. en-ger) meaning God.
I paired the bodysuit with these lightweight joggers from a new site I found called BooHoo.com. I love the color and the braided detail on the belt. These pants can easily be dressed up or down which is perfect for someone who likes switching styles on a regular basis like me.
On to my main accessory…I know y’all see how fly these shades are! They’re the new mirrored frames from Dior and they will make anyone look instantly cool. I’m a goofy, sweetheart on a regular but I must say, I felt my inner badassery come out when I put these babies on. The only negative is they’re 100% metal so they’re a bit heavy and I probably wouldn’t wear them for an extended period of time but for a few hours, they’ll work just fine.
I love the simplicity of these rose gold strappy heels from MissGuided. They really pop on top of my skin tone and they’re extremely versatile.
I’m excited to share my new line with you all. I aim to promote knowledge and encourage growth. Comment below and let me know what you think!
